My husband never really liked having his photo taken, but one day I decided to make him a photobook of all the places we had been and every photo we had captured. We were students back then. He was studying in Copenhagen, Denmark, and I was in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

I sent it to him as a gift, and when he called me, he said, “This is the most beautiful gift I have received. There are some moments we shared together that I do not even remember.” That is the magic of photography. It brings back pieces of your story you might have forgotten.
