Do you know that Denmark is one of the easiest countries in the world to get married? Many of my couples who elope to Copenhagen come from all over the world, and capturing their love in unique and creative ways is truly my favorite part of the job. One of the secrets to making a wedding or pre-wedding photoshoot feel magical is using wedding photo prompts. These are little ideas that help couples connect naturally and authentically in front of the camera.
For me, working with couples is all about interaction and playfulness. Helping them be themselves, laugh together, and share genuine moments is key. As a photographer, my goal is not just to take beautiful photos it is to create an experience they will remember forever.
Being prepared with prompts makes all the difference. Imagine a two-hour shoot with the same poses over and over. That would be boring. Prompts give couples freedom to move, interact, and express their love in ways that feel natural. They help capture moments that are truly reflective of their personalities and relationship.
That said, I do not offer the same prompts to every couple. Some are energetic, outgoing, and love playful interactions. Others are more shy or reserved, and forcing them into big expressive poses would feel unnatural. Understanding each couple is crucial. It guides how I communicate, how I direct them, and ultimately how beautiful and authentic the photos turn out.
Here are some prompts I used during my most recent shoots along with detailed shots from various weddings I have photographed Let me share with you 5-6 prompts I created during my latest shoot, along with some detail photos from various weddings I've shot. 🤍 1. Dream Together Looking away like you will have the brightest future ahead of you. This prompt gives the feeling of dreaming together. Finding a bridge helps a lot, creating all these emotions.

2. Walk Away There is a lot of walking in a photoshoot, so why not use that and create something beautiful without the couple even noticing it.

3. Stay Away and Look at Each-Other Most of my couples tend to stay too close to each other, and that is so cute. However, having a little distance and touching each other hands gives you the best intersecion and most clean photos.

4. Sit and Chill When I find a cute bench, oh, I definitely gonna use it. I like to play around with it as well. When I see a bench or cute chairs, I ask my couples to "sit and chill for a minute" - Is important that the couple relaxes for a few minutes and they forget that you are taking photos of them. It's important to capture their real emotions while they are talking with each other and being full of love.

5. Veil Prompts So many emotions you can create under the veil. When I took the photo below, we were almost at the end of the photoshoot. I told the couple I had an idea when they kissed each other but under the veil. I haven't experienced much with veils before, but sure is a thing I am gonna use in the future.

6. Detail Photos My favorite thing to do during the shoot is to capture some details shots, it can be hands, nails, flowers, legs, or all together. These little details complete the shoot. The photos below are from three different weddings I have done.
