Proposal Photoshoot with Dom and Annabelle in Kings Garden

Dom and Annabelle met in college, when life was all about late nights, study sessions, and cheap coffee. What started as a friendship gradually evolved into something more profound. The kind of connection that grows without trying. Seven years later, they are still each other’s favourite person. They love a cozy evening, good food, and a movie they have probably seen more than once. Their love is calm, steady, and always warm.

Some weeks before the big day, Dom reached out to Bigwig Photography to help plan his proposal in Copenhagen. He wanted everything to feel thoughtful and personal, so he secretly gave his Instagram to me so I could understand Annabelle’s style. The moment I went through it, I saw that she had a beautiful artsy vibe, and I first recommended a museum location. Dom loved the idea, but he also told me that she feels very connected to nature, so he chose to propose in the King’s Garden instead.

Such a beautiful choice.

He was a little worried about the colours in mid-October, but he could not have asked for something more perfect. The trees were full of autumn tones, and the green grass added so much softness to the scene. It had rained just before their session, and if you have read my previous posts, you already know how much I love rain for photos. The reflections, the moodiness, and the softness in the air brought such a cinematic feeling to the moment.

Dom flew all the way from Singapore to make this happen. During the planning, he also told me that his friend Elton had proposed to his girlfriend with me as well, also while traveling from Singapore. I loved this little coincidence. Such a small world and such a beautiful circle of love stories finding their way back to Copenhagen.

Dom and Annabelle’s story is full of intention and tenderness. The kind of love that feels like home. And being there to capture this chapter was truly special.
