From Dream to Reality: Bigwig Photography Wedding Photos Featured in New York Times

I can hardly believe it - two of my wedding photos were published in the New York Times! The wedding was a beautiful ceremony in Copenhagen between Deidre Olsen and Paula Sapion Miranda, a loving lesbian couple. Deidre is a writer, and she had written an article about their love story and marriage in Copenhagen for the New York Times. She asked if I would be okay with them publishing some of my photos alongside her story.

At first, I was stunned. I couldn't believe that the New York Times was interested in publishing my photos. Of course, I said yes right away, but I didn't expect it to actually happen. It seemed like a far-fetched dream.

But just one month after the wedding, it happened. Deidre sent me a link to the article and there they were - my two photos, proudly featured in the pages of the New York Times. I was in Spain for work at the time, but I immediately found time to celebrate this unbelievable achievement.

Seeing my photos published in one of the most prestigious newspapers in the world was a surreal and unforgettable experience. It was a testament to the love and connection that Deidre and Paula share and to the beauty of their wedding day. I was honored to be a part of their special day and thrilled to have captured it in a way that caught the attention of the New York Times.

This experience has taught me the importance of taking chances and pursuing opportunities, even if they seem unlikely. You never know where it might lead you. I am grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I hope that my photos helped to inspire and bring joy to others who saw them in the New York Times.
