Documents:

  • Valid passports

  • Residence permits for those living abroad

  • Schengen visa or proof of entry to Denmark or Schengen area (if required)

  • Certificate of marital status (no older than 4 months), including name, date/place of birth, current address, citizenship, and marital status. Translation is required if not in Danish, English, or German.

  • Guardian's consent if one party is under guardianship

  • Divorce decree from a previous marriage(s) with an endorsement stating it cannot be appealed. Original and translated versions are required if not in Danish, English, or German.

  • Death certificate of previous spouse, original and translated if not in Danish, English, or German.
